There was a girl who stumbled into a light, more than she could comprehend. When she watched every new sunset, she realised that it was the first and last one of its kind. That she alone saw it in that way. And many a sunset did she watch, for she became a Sundrop Drinker. A Sunlight Thief. A Sunset Chaser. She sought the west until the timezones moved backward and lived forever.
Life exists beyond us.
That is a profound statement that most of humanity, will never fully recognize. Oh, some may stumble across it, others may even flirt with the outrageous potential of limitless understanding that it would bring, but most will never even consider it.
That, is humanity’s flaw.
That, and sugar.
